Leveraging RTGX’s CMMI and Lean Six Sigma trained staff, our customers are engaged in numerous efforts to institutionalize a standards approach to business process reengineering and business process implementation. RTGX has been engaged with the Department of Defense in supporting the institutionalization of CMMI based practices.
Achieving organizational agility when mission, threats, and resources are distributed across the world and the need to change direction, processes and redeploy focus is constant factor was a challenge RTGX was hired to research, analyze and report on best practices from outside the DoD Contractor and Government Community for the Department of Defense.
Challenges met throughout RTGX’s engagement included resistance to change and focusing mission personnel on the gains that could be achieved in mission goal attainment by analyzing what were thought to be tried and proven processes. Achieving process improvements in small mini efforts as opposed to attempting to address the entire portfolio of business processes documented or not was a key methodology used to gain buy in and better acceptance from mission personnel on examining “as-is processes” and developing newer more efficient “to-be” processes. |
