CA Clarity Clarity 7.5.3 vs version 8.x features and benefits seminar This course is designed to provide the attendee with an introduction to the new features in Clarity 8.x. This seminar will allow the attendee to make informative decisions about upgrading to Clarity 8 and familiarize the user with features and benefits of Clarity version 8.x. Introduction to Clarity The Fundamentals of CA Clarity training will cover all the basic functionality of the application and should be used as a building block for the remaining CA Clarity courses. This Fundamentals course will begin by having you log in to the application and create a simple project. Once this simple project is created, the collaboration features of action items, events, discussions, document management and processes will be explored to support the project feature. This course also includes non-project specific items such as system navigation, personalizing the application, using search and help, creating ideas, running reports and the use of the organizer. This course will give you the basis to perform your daily job tasks with the application, saving time and effort. Summary of course learning objectives: Navigate through the Clarity application Build simple projects Manage collaboration in Clarity Use Search and Help to find information in Clarity Evaluate information using reports Manage your activities using the Organizer Clarity System Administration The Administration of Clarity course is directed toward the end-user that will maintain the application on a day-to-day basis from an administrative and security standpoint. This course will cover the security model, building and maintaining security groups and associations, building the OBS, setting up and running the Datamart, configuration of look-ups, auto-numbering, skills definition, setting project management defaults, as well as system password options. Financial Administration and Studio are not included in this course. Summary of course learning objectives: Create users and security groups Establish OBSs Setup the Datamart Manage system options Configure lookups Set password options Clarity Technical Concepts The RTGX Clarity Technical Concepts class offers students an in-depth overview of the Clarity implementation process. This class will include lectures and exercises, as well as a mock implementation using a customer scenario. Instructors will focus on the technical aspects of the application including Installation, Clarity Studio, the Clarity Datamart and Data Model and XML Open Gateway (XOG). Upon completion of this course the student will have an understanding of the methods and steps needed to install clarity and perform basic system management and configuration.
