Six Sigma Primer

Six Sigma is the quality and business management methodology designed on improving processes and driving quality, customer satisfaction and savings.
Six Sigma only succeeds when it has the full commitment from the very highest levels of the organization. This is the only way Six Sigma can achieve process, quality and financial gains for the organization. The establishment of measurable goals and the metrics that can be used to quantify the mile stones to success are part of the Six Sigma process.

Teaching various levels of management how to detect poor quality that stifles the effectiveness of mission achievement and drives cost up and quality service and or products downward is of paramount importance. Implementing Six Sigma using mini mile stones and projects is a common technique of which RTGX is a proponent of.
Once small but important projects are agreed upon and prioritized, project leaders and managers responsible for managing processes commonly called Black Belts, Green Belts, and Yellow Belts are assigned to follow a rigorous process designed to properly identify and fix the defective process steps. The organization also selects Champions who are typically from the executive ranks of the organization.
RTGX provides consulting services to clients throughout the United States and world wide and our experience with Federal Civilian, Federal Department of Defense, Commercial, and State and Local Government clients has taught us that many of our clients typically award large contracts to large contractor companies in the hopes of obtaining equally large results. Statistics show that this approach rarely succeeds and typically leads to failure, over budget situations, poor quality and equally poor customer service. Additional problems include projects that deliver the wrong result at the wrong time causing the customer organizations to start from the beginning again or leads to the creation of project silos that attempt to achieve the same or similar objectives leading to waste and duplication of efforts.
RTGX is a firm believer that the ability of our clients to be agile, responsive and particularly for our Department of Defense customer’s to be able to deliver the life saving and mission centric capabilities vitally needed to ensure our nation’s security requires efficient and focused projects with measurable mile stones that deliver incremental returns on investment throughout the project life cycle. At RTGX we believe that Lean and Six Sigma principles combined with other best practices can help organizations achieve the agile, cost effective and timely delivery of services and solutions with high quality. The end result of these efforts being ever increasing higher levels of return on investment and mission attainment regardless of the industry. RTGX delivers consulting and training services that assist our Government clients with reducing push back from Congressional Oversight Committees or legislative and or Budget Committees and auditors for budget request because of ill defined projects or poor track records in delivering promised goals. For our Commercial clients RTGX helps our clients achieve objectives through projects, products, and or services that increase customer satisfaction, sales and increases to the bottom line.
